Katie is a young mezzo-soprano with a first class degree from Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Recent performance highlights include a recital as part of the LSO Discovery series, First Prize in the Susan Longfield Competition and receiving the Audience Prize in the Royal Worshipful Company of Chartered Surveyors Competition.

When not performing or teaching, Katie has been involved with Breathe Arts Health Research, a charity focused on taking music into hospitals. She has also worked alongside the Irene Taylor Trust, an organisation that helps use music as a rehabilitative tool for ex-prisoners. She was most recently involved in an online showcase with the charity SWAPRA, who work to elevate women’s voices in the music industry.

Katie aims to create a supportive and fun environment for her students and is comfortable teaching a wide range of genres (opera, classical, musical theatre). She works with her students to create a healthy, even sound whilst exploring repertoire that the student enjoys!

Aside from singing, Katie also teaches piano privately. Having started piano lessons at the age of 7, she feels it is a vital skill to have for all musicians.
