Brian is a concert pianist and piano tutor who graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) with a First-Class Honours Bachelor of Music Degree in 2018, with a Master of Music in Piano performance from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2021 and will undertake his MPerf final stage masters degree this year.

Having taken formal piano lessons from the age of 7, Brian furthered his initial music studies at Wells Cathedral School, Somerset, with a full scholarship from the department for education as a Specialist Musician from 2008 until 2016, where he studied piano with Head of Keyboard, Prof. John Byrne. At the Royal Northern College of Music, Brian was awarded the Fund Prize in 2017, the Patricia Cunliffe and Marjorie Clementi Memorial Awards for Keyboard Studies in 2018 for achieving the highest mark in his end-of-year recitals in both his first and second year.

In teaching, Brian takes pride in working with pupils of all ages from beginner to advanced for either formal qualifications (ABRSM/Trinity examination boards) or purely for musical enjoyment. Brian was piano and violin teacher at Advance Music School in Harrogate in 2017 and was piano tutor and workshop leader at St. Thomas' Primary School in Stockport in 2019.
