Sophie is a violinist and piano tutor living and working in London. Sophie began learning the violin and piano at age 7 back in her hometown of Northampton, and moved to London in 2014 where she recently graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with a Master of Music degree. Previously, she gained her Bachelor of Music degree from the Royal College of Music.

As a violinist, Sophie has performed with orchestras such as the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, The Hallé and the Southbank Sinfonia, as well as enjoying a varied performing schedule as a chamber musician and soloist.

Sophie has been teaching violin and piano privately across London for the past 6 years, and has enjoyed working with a wide variety of pupils in standard, background and in terms of their goals. She is very familiar with the ABRSM exam syllabus, but equally happy to teach pupils who want to learn for leisure without the pressure of exams.
